Good tools leave
room to think.

Small Hours is a growing collection of practical tools for everyday work. Calculations, file cleanups, publishing details: the small tasks that can eat up an afternoon. We bring the useful part into a simple interface, then explain enough of the method for you to understand the answer.

Who publishes the tools

Small Hours is the publisher credited on our articles. Its profile explains our scope, AI assistance and example preparation. For questions or corrections, use our contact page.

A useful answer, with its workings

Every tool explains its method and limitations. Calculators use your assumptions rather than pretending one model fits every business. File tools show previews so you can review the result before using it. Worked examples explain the input, the output and what you can reasonably conclude from it. FAQs answer the edge cases that are easy to overlook when you only have a formula.

Built around real tasks

The Business collection covers pricing, cash planning, payment fees and customer economics. Marketing tools help prepare campaign links and inspect supplied search or page data. Email tools separate DNS records, message evidence and presentation details. Creator tools support publishing tasks, while Utilities handle formats, lists, image sizes and unit conversions. Each collection points to related tools that make sense together.

The Health collection adds adult body-measurement screening calculations and a resting-energy estimator. These pages state their age ranges, measurement conventions and reference limitations. A screening category or equation result cannot establish an individual diagnosis, weight target or eating plan.

Simple by design

Most tools calculate or process inputs locally in your browser. DNS tools query Google Public DNS when you choose a live lookup; the interface makes that distinction clear. We have not added advertising scripts, behavioral analytics or a subscription flow. The privacy page describes data handling, including the separate behavior of generated downloads and your browser’s clipboard.

Scope matters as much as the result

An email syntax check does not establish that a mailbox exists. A Search Console export does not show the whole web. A runway calculation does not predict new sales or fundraising. We state these boundaries so you can use a tool for the question it actually answers. A warning is often a prompt to investigate rather than an instruction to change a policy or delete data.

A collection that grows with purpose

The current collection includes 125 working tools. The roadmap lists researched ideas separately from available tools. A proposed tool does not get an empty indexable landing page. New additions need a working implementation, examples, appropriate checks and supporting explanations.

Context beyond the calculator

The Blog explains workflows that connect several tools: a pricing decision, an authentication investigation or a data cleanup. It complements the tool pages rather than repeating their complete instructions. See editorial standards for our source and example practices, or Help if you need to understand an input or result.

Common questions

Where do I start? Try an example, then replace its values with yours.

Why did my upload fail? Check the field error, accepted format and file-size limit. Start with a small sanitized sample.

Where are my results? Review the result panel, then use its copy or download controls. If a calculation fails, check the error beside the input.
