Business calculators
Make pricing, cash flow and growth decisions with the assumptions in plain sight. These calculators connect a selling price to its costs, an acquisition budget to customer contribution, and a hiring plan to the cash available to fund it.

Start with the economics of a sale
Margin, markup and contribution answer different questions. Margin compares profit with revenue; markup compares it with cost. Contribution subtracts the variable costs that arise when you sell. Start with the target-price or contribution calculator, then test discounts, bundles and free shipping against that baseline. A larger order or higher ROAS can still leave less cash after returns and fulfillment.
Keep profit, revenue and cash separate
Revenue is not the same as available cash. Inventory and unpaid invoices can tie up working capital even when a business reports profit. Use inventory days, days sales outstanding and the cash conversion cycle to examine that timing. Runway models compare cash receipts with cash spending, so use cash assumptions rather than mixing accounting revenue with bank payments.
Compare scenarios before committing
For subscriptions, separate the starting customer cohort from new business when measuring churn and retention. For hiring, compare a baseline with loaded salary, employer costs and recruiting costs at a stated start date. Change one assumption at a time and retain the original scenario. A calculator gives a conditional result; it does not establish future demand, retention or financing availability.
Common questions
Which costs should I enter?
Use the costs relevant to the question and the same period and currency throughout. A contribution model needs variable selling costs; a runway model needs cash expenses. Check the tool’s worked example before importing values from a report.
Can I use these calculators outside the US?
Most calculations are currency neutral. Platform fee tools use rates you can edit because fees vary by region, product and contract. They do not calculate local taxes or automatically convert currencies.
