Review a search opportunity

Check an export, investigate page overlap, then validate your sitemap.

Use your own inputs and keep periods, units and cost assumptions consistent. The steps provide an order to work through; results do not transfer automatically between tools.

  1. Find queries worth examining

Export one date range from Search Console. Review queries with impressions and modest click-through rates. The fictional sample shows the expected format; it does not represent your traffic.

  2. Compare pages for the same query

Supply query/page pairs from the same period. Overlap is a prompt to review search intent and page purpose, rather than proof that one page should be deleted.

  3. Check the sitemap you plan to publish

Validate a sitemap export. If you split it, set the actual upload directory first. Review crawlability and canonical pages on the website separately, then upload and submit the files yourself.

Common questions

Where do I start? Try an example, then replace its values with yours.

Why did my upload fail? Check the field error, accepted format and file-size limit. Start with a small sanitized sample.

Where are my results? Review the result panel, then use its copy or download controls. If a calculation fails, check the error beside the input.
